I'm way behind on my reports. We have been seeing some really good Samllies and LM. I weighed a 9 lb. 4 oz. LM for a friend of ours last weekend. He had at least a 25 lb. bag with three LM and two big 'ol spots! The next day was a little slow. He only had two Smallies, at 6 and 5 lbs. Today you catch several fish and tomorrow you struggle doing the very same thing? Moses has now officially caught 6 Smallies over 4 lbs. and only one was on a jig! He is actually fishing some other baits other than a jig or C rig! Last Monday we caught 16 fish. That's a high number for us and what we do down there. All Smallies and Spots. We had 7 over 4 lbs.. and 4 over 5 lbs. all on a spinner bait, jerk bait or a jig. Went back the next day and only caught 2 smallies and our normal, customary drums? Saturday we had only 6. Moses did get another 4 lb. smallie. Sunday afternoon I was alone and managed to scratch out 6 with two 4 lb. smallies. Most of the time you don't catch a lot of fish, but you usually get a least one 4 lber. I think that some of the guys fishing the really light stuff did rather well this past weekend. And so far from what I'm seeing and people I've talked to, the artificial guys are beating up on the shiner fisherman for some reason? Water temp is 46 degrees and for the most part TVA has been running an average of about 25K / 30K cps.
