UVU bass team opens the 2013 season this Saturday

We are off to Oroville California with three teams competing for a chance to fish in the regional tournament in October on Clearlake in California. The teams of Tate Brown and Zach Taylor, Seth Hausman and Weston Brierley, and Aaron Warner and Cathleen Martinez have been gearing up and doing their homework on how to get the job done...join me in wishing the team the best of luck for a fun, safe and successful trip...

As Zak as been preparing for this it looks like a bass boat took a big crap in my basement. Got some intell from Brad at Dry Creek Outfitters, make sure you get a handful of stuff from Zak. Kick Bass!

UPDATE: Lots of catches, not much size...

Results:
Zach and Tate caught 5 bass for a little over 6 lbs missed qualifying for regionals by 10 ounces

Weston and Seth got 4 bass for about 5 lbs missed regionals by a little over a pound

Cathleen and Aaron weighed in 2 bass (the third shrunk on them) and absorbed a 2 lb penalty missed regionals by 5 lbs.

having never been to this lake before, it was tough to get on a pattern in only 6 hours. We had the penalty, a boat break down, and tiny fish to contend with. Cathleen and Aaron landed 7 fish but only 3 measured and the one shrinker...we did have a good time though and we will be heading out to Roosevelt in February for the next one.
