got out to pineview with a friend of mine yesterday morning early and were one of the firsts on the ice. drilleds holes in about 25 feet and there were a few perch but they were mostly dinks. moved out a little more and were in 36 feet and started fishing caught a couple and the fishing was really slow until about 11 that morning then we started just hammering them like crazy. between 2 of us we got probobly 120 fish and we each kept our biggest about 40 to 45 each. they ranged from about 6 to 9 1/2 inchers, not huge but big enough to fillet. It was also nice that the air bladders werent deflating on the way up so you could let the minnow perch go. we thought we maybe had a few crappie move in suspended but they didnt want to bite. all in all it was a good day, probly wont go back and fish it till i can make it out in the dark for some slabs. all perch were caught on a halis with perchmeat.

Exactly whatwe did on Saturday Jazzperch1. Although we were there early in the am -10according to my Iphone, but think it was frozen. I had a two pole permit andcouldn't even get my second pole in the water action was so fast a furious.Caught a few 10 inchers but not many all about 9 inch range. All in all funday. I'd like to hit some crappie, but my experience is you need to be out onthe ice in the dark for them

ya i never even attempted 2 poles once they were hitting good. my buddy was saying he wants to go after some slabs in the dark one early morning in the next few weeks but im not sure, it sounds like a blast though. hey atleast you got some 10 inchers too we only got a few nice ones and the rest were the smallest ill keep them to fillet.

I have heard some rumblings that if you fish closer to the oint on the south side the perch they are bigger sized. But I am not definitive on that. I think I am going to explore that thought next time I' at PV.
