Three forks rods vs TFO
#1
So I'm looking at buying a basic second rod to have as a back up/ loner rod for friends and family. Don't want to spend alot and from what I have seen under $100 the best options are the cabelas three forks rods and the temple fork pro special fly rod. So I'm wondering if anyone owns either of these rods and what your thoughts are. Or if you know of any other rods around the same price please let me know! Thanks for your help!

Check out Allen fly fishing. There compass or ATS rod are near that price range. I have a Ross FC I got from cabelas for $50. See if anything is on sale.

TFO over three forks, hands down. The Pro is an medium action. Very good learning rod, and fun. I second the Allens Fly Fishing rods. The new Compass is also a medium flex. Pretty light blue.
My TFO has broke three times in the same spot, so I would never buy another.

You should come over to my house and we can build you a rod, alot cheaper and youll get a better rod Wink the allen compass rod is on sale for about 100 with line you would have to buy a real though but great rods I have two of them, I also have a rod I got from bass pro shops as my first rod and it works great but the fly line sucked for about 100.
