Rare Mudpuppy Caught with Video

I dont know if you guys catch these things very often, but these things are basically endangered out here on the great lakes. Got some gopro footage, let me know if any of you guys have caught these things before...

we catch them all the time here in lake nipissing.. well my group does.. I never do. lol. if your line is too close to bottom they will suck on your minnow

Certain lakes in Minnesota have them , its fun when you can see them through the hole , you can tease them pretty good !! lol !!!!

I am notorious for catching Mudpuppies, I have caught as many as 35 in one year. well that is ice season.

like mentioned above, fishing low to the bottom or using dead minnow is a good way to catch them, there is a season for them here in michigan, but other than to look at them I dont know what any one would want to do with them.
