Hi everyone. Beautiful day out today so decided to head out for the afternoon. Been a few weeks since I have had the time or the weather was cooperating!
Got on the lake around 2pm. Headed over to a spot near the 33 hole area and dropped the anchor. Few fish, 1-2 lbs. But what a nice day! But decided to move across the wash and go a little more shallow.
A couple more small ones but finally got a nice hook up. Ended up being a nice 4 pounder. Kept at it for a while with not much happening and finally got another hit. This time, it was a fatty 9 pounder! Put up a good fight getting it in, too, which is always fun. Measure 28 inches. I was alone but managed to take a pic on my phone that I will try and upload a bit later.
Caught on my usual cut anchovies and a Carolina rig. Depth was right at 50 feet, fishing about 6-8 feet off of the bottom.
