My dad, uncles and I backpacked in to a lake up in the high Unitas. When we arrived to our campsite we were drenched and cold. It previously practically snowed with 4 in of hail on the ground making the four mile hour and a half hike, a 5 hour hike. It was about midnight when we arrived. We set up our tents and fell asleep. That morning I woke up and rigged up my fly rod with a dry dropper system. Ran to the lake and caught 3 right of the bat. Throughout the day my uncles and dad were spin fishing, while is was fly fishing with very little room to cast (mainly roll casts). By about 4 I had caught 7 fish. So we decided to take a break. We went and packed up camp. Got everything ready and went pack done to the lake to fish one last hour. I caught 4 more and was satisfied with a total of 11 fish.... The fish up here were the prettiest cutthroats I have and probably will ever see. There cheeks, a rosey violet color. Their bodies super yellow. The cuts under there mouths were bright orange. It was amazing.... This photo of one of the cuts I caught is rather dull compared to some of the pretty ones. But still a pretty fish
