I went up to Deer Creek this morning for some trout fishing with my son and we had a pretty good day. The morning started out with a thick fog, but cleared up by about 8:30. I was seeing trout on the finder suspended between 25 and 35 feet with a few deeper around 50 feet. I had the downriggers holding me at 22 and 32 feet However most of the action was on my surface line. Flatlining a small rainbow imitation hooked up 6 times. I only hooked up twice down deep.
The water is rising. I talked with the park employee who was adjusting the docks and he has had to raise the docks two days in a row now with all of this rain. 2 feet per day average.
