Yuba Fun
#1
Another good day at Yuba. Charlie caught the biggest fish of his life which helped him forget about the bee sting he got a couple days ago that has puffed up his face.

Wow, nice haul, thanks for sharing your pics with us.
Did the wind cause you any problems? Were you trolling or casting?
Reelfast and I were out there as well today but we had no luck on the pike and that wind was giving us fits.

We were casting a green and white spinner bait. Got off the lake about 10:30 when the wind started to pick up.

Good job, I guess we just were not fishing the right spot or something. We tried vertical jigging over some impressive stacks of fish but not even a bump[frown]. What boat were you guys in?

We were in a 14' Starcraft fishng across from the Oasis ramp and boat full of kids. His dad rigged up his sister's little pink pole just to give him something to do while the heavier poles were being used. We were pretty stressed watching him reel it in with 6-8 lb test and no bite guard, but he got it in.

Very nice....nothing like spending time with your kids fishing. I have more fun at Yuba fishing than anywhere else in the state. I like throwing lures to those aggressive northern pike. I hope to get down there at least once more this fall.
