Fun in the cold and snow!

Got out last week and had a good time, got some trout and salmon, hooked 5 Kokes and landed one, toothy mouths are hard to get hooks in .

Looks very cold. Any trout of size?
Any winter trip plans for when that freezes up?

Gonna be sunny in the 60s in the Smokies today. I'd invite you for a nice hike to catch native brookies and enjoy the color of the leaves, but Boehner and the crybabies have the park closed down [Image: sad.gif]

It was 60's here yesterday but a bit of a cold front is moving in today. Go fish National Forest instead if you can't get into the park. Been a long long time since I've been in that area but you can find brookies and even bass in some rivers. The bass are a hoot because they're not just topwater splashing like in stillwater. In rivers they put up a pretty good fight.

The invitation was actually to Remo, my cousin. But you would be welcome too if you wish to visit Tennessee. And you're right, red eyes and smallies on the fly are a hoot too. I may go see if the brownies are spawning on the Clinch sometime later this week.

I didn't take it as an invitation for me. I assumed you were visited the area. Did you move to the Southeast? If so how do you like it?

I love east Tennessee. Miss the Uintas and some friends and family, but that's about all.

Kinda fun exploring the world of fishing for warm water species. Way different.

Regards, Ed

PS The invitation is still good anytime. Bring along Mike if you wish

Sounds like a good time Ed, I have a few friends out that way, looks like I am Florida bound in 4 years so you can come and hit the flats with me!

Mike, you're too young to retire to Florida and fish all day when old folks like me still have to work. My brother in law down there just took a new job so waiting to see when he can have off before planning the next trip. Hopefully December still.
