Walmart parking lot.....errrr...Scofield

Tournament at Scofield today. You can imagine the crowds. Arrived at 9 left at 11:30. Only three fish in my group and im pretty sure it was the same little cutt each time. Kids got bored and cold so we bailed. We would have moved but the place was PACKED, so it wasnt worth it. Curious to see the final results of the tourney when they come out. Shoulda gone to strawberry.

Ice fishing is enjoyable but can lose its appeal if it turns to combat fishing.

I was thinking about hitting the tourney but decided to test the pedal toon on Deer Creek instead. It sounds like I made the right choice.

There was over 250 people at the strawberry bay marina today. The entire parking lot at the marina was filled.

I'm sure I caught the same cutt! So there was 390 people and a 17.25" fish took all the money. Oh well it was good to get out sounds like the crowds were everywhere.

Thanks for the info brookie, sounds like it didnt have to be a monster to win. Im surprised anything was caught for all the people there today. I guess strawberry wouldnt have been any better today.

Cutts weren't in the tourney, and 21 inch Cutts are illegal to keep.

We braved the crowd and had a great time. The fishing was fast and furious for us until about noon, then it slowed considerably but was still steady. I iced 28 or so myself mostly cuts, with a few rainbows and a tiger mixed in. None of my rainbows were worth entering, but my son took 4th place and is a happy lad.

Only rainbows were allowed in the tournament. To bad the day didn't work out.. My buddy and his uncle caught over 70 fish between them.
