McCall help

Heading up to McCall with the in-laws this weekend.[] Would really like to do some fishing but I don't know the area at all. Any rivers or lakes to hit right now? It will all be shore fishing since I don't have access to a boat. Thanks guys for your help.

Know it well. Don't even bother fishing from the shore of Payette Lake. There is one spot where you can hammer macks from the shore, but you would never find it. Cascade and Horsethief should fish well from the shore for trout. Brown's Pond, about 20-some miles closer than the suggestions above, is recently planted. 6 miles from McCall. Stop in at Tackle Toms in Cascade on the way up for up-to-the-minute advice. Just leave a little money in the cash register!! Mike
