Pineview?

Anyone have any info about Pineview? It should now have safe ice - I think.

Hi Dave , I stopped by today and punched a few holes around the Port Ramp marina at Pineview . Ice was 8" thick , 5" of good clear ice and some soft ice , slush , snow on top of it . I didn't venture out to far because I was alone but found 2" ice in one hole I punched . Reservoir is about 98% covered with a big opening in the Narrows . I caught no fish . Tried for a christmas muskie on jigs , but no hits . Had a second pole out with smaller stuff on it , but it didn't produce for me either . South Fork arm looked good and seen tracks and holes drilled all around that area from Bluff swim beach area . Didn't have time to go check it out . Middle fork might have some newer ice and some open water . Seen some ducks fly up when a bald eagle did a fly by , so it might be open some in the middle . Browning Point looked to have new ice so it might be thin in that area too . Need a good cold spell and it should be good to go for the whole lake . Didn't see anybody else out on the ice . I wonder why !!! I did hook up on 2 browns in Ogden river , but lost both of them before I got them in . Merry Christmas to all
