Crawdads

Spent 3 hours at East Canyon with the kids - crawdad heaven. We kept 35 or so. I also caught a small mouth bass (dinky) Fun time for the kids.

Thanks for the report Lareen, did you keep any or was it just catch and release crawfishing? Also, what area did you do the best?

That's awesome! I have a dad trap but just haven't gotten around to actually trying it out yet.

We had a crawdad boil last night. I kept the big ones and threw back the little ones. My kids had never tasted crawdads before and it was fun having them experience it. We fished on the south end. Not sure of the name of the pullout but it had a restroom.[laugh]

I think that pull out is Tailor's hollow, kind of a steep hike down to the water. Glad you found some Dad's to catch and share with the family.
