All,
I am taking some scouts to camp and fish at Strawberry this weekend.
Usually, when my son and I fish up there this time of year we have done alright with a minnow below a bubble for the cutts.
Any insight as to what is working well from the shore right now? Is the moss still a problem from the shore.
Thanks guys. Will happily report on our trip.
Chris

I would be very surprised if anything jucy (worm, chub, mino) below a bubble wouldn't be good right now. The longer below the bubble the better.

the moss was a huge pain when i was up there last sunday, I managed two slot cutts with white tube jigs but 80% of the time i was reeling in moss.
there are some deep areas that drop of quickly that would be better suited for shore fishing right now, i would try to locate them.

Up there last Thurs. and found that some areas were a lot more prone to heavy concentrations in the water. With a little search however you will find some clearer water.
Good luck!
As a veteran scouter I have almost given up getting them to catch much. When I wanted them to really catch fish I took them ice fishing at Fish Lake. Kind of early for this however.
My boys always figure that for scouts to camp there has to be fishable water. This might have something to do with the Scout Master. I haven't figured it out yet.

This is usually my personal camping preference.[cool]. My family knows it too.
