Deer Creek

Anyone have any info on Deer Creek? Is it frozen and any help with fishing it. I have never ice fished there and could use some info. Looking for a place for New Year's Day a little closer than Scofield.

People boating out there yesterday fishing. No ice on the edges, from what I understand a slow troll by the state park is hot right now.

The UL harbors are probably iced enough that you could get some good pan fishing in. From what I understand the good fishing only lasts a couple of days after 3 or so inches of ice in the harbors, then they move out to the warm springs of the lake.

If you're set on deer creek and it hasn't iced up by new years, shore fishing can provide with plenty of tugs this time of year.
