Carp, Catfish, Bass, and Bluegill! (Pic Heavy)
#1
With the rivers being so crowded I got after some local warmwater on the fly. These beautiful days are really enjoyable out on the "flats". Carp and the cat are on Egan's Headstand or Montana's Hybrid. Enjoy!

Caught this toad sight fishing. Extremely hard fighting fish.

You caught that cat on a fly? What did it take if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah that catfish was on a fly. Egan's Headstand to be exact. Same fly for I use most often for carp. I noticed that a catfish was following my fly and not a carp and then he ate and I set and the fight was on!

That would have been fun.

I found some green ones of this fly. What colors do you recommend?

I tie mine in rust brown and I have found it to be very effective. I think it is one of the two colors available commercially. The other is chartreuse and haven't used it.

That's awesome. I still need to catch a cat on the fly.
