[#0000FF]Brett Prettyman had a column in today's Salt Lake Tribune but I couldn't find it online so sorry...no link.
The seminar will be on Flaming Gorge and Powell. And Ryan Mosley and Wayne Gustaveson will both be there to make presentations and answer questions.
It will be at the DNR building at 1594 W. N. Temple on Wednesday 4/8...from 7-9 pm.
The paper article gives a link to watch it streaming and it will also be on the DWR Utube channel afterward.
Going to be tips on tackle and techniques for both lakes...as well as the Q & A. Should be sensory overload.

[#0000FF]The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak...and old...and broken down. Just getting my left knee back in shape and I twisted my right ankle...getting in a boat no less. That should teach me.
Maybe another week. Giving all you other guys a free shot at the fish before I assault them.

Sorry to hear about the injury, but I know with your tube you'll keep fishing this fall after all our boats are dry docked so I know your cat entries will come. That southern team is really starting off strong this year. Glad to see such a strong team down there. I'm thinking this year will show the best numbers yet for this contest. Wouldn't doubt we see some mid to upper 30 entries this year. Well wishing you the best in recovery but a little fearful for the kitties you'll be molesting. Hope you have some fun chasing them with us. Later J

[#0000FF]Thanks. Have no fear. I shall arise and go forth...or fifth. Whatever.
My problem with the catfish contest...these days...is that there is too much other fishing to be done during the spring "awakening". Once I get healthy it will be a confusing challenge to determine what direction to point my tube...and what gear to take...for what species.
But I gayrontee that I will be well represented on the board by the end of the contest.

There are a lot of places to fish and fish to catch but we have a long summer ahead and I am sure you will be catching fish that are contest worthy. Sorry to hear about the ankle. Damn it sucks getting older.

[#0000FF]Agreed. But considering the alternative...
I used to be the always-in-shape jock...all sports, anytime. Could eat anything I wanted and never gain an ounce. Now I drink an 8 oz. glass of water and gain a pound. And my brain keeps writing checks my body can't cash.
I heartily subscribe to the immortal words of my (former) tennis opponent...Dirty Harry. "A man should know his limitations." And if you try to ignore them your body will remind you.

Hoping for a speedy recovery, as mentioned previously you will be out in the tube long after the boats are put away and we are getting our ice gear ready.

[#0000FF]Low water is good for tubers...who don't like being molested by the power squadron. Not so good for fish and boating fishermen.
