Pretty good day at willard conditions where beautiful sunny, no wind and no bugs. we got on around noon and off the water around 4:30 pm. We all limited out on Wipers and caught a couple nice crappie. We caught all of our fish but one crappie in freeway bay trolling Shad Raps and blue, chrome and orange rattlin raps. at about 2 mph. The most productive lure was a trout pattern shad rap with a chartreuse belly. There where a lot of people fishing on the bank I wonder how they did and several boats anchored near the bank, I guess they where crappie fishing. There was a whole flotilla right outside the north marina we avoided them. I pulled a bone head move to end our day. I was headed back for the marina and was wondering why my boat was only going 30 mph when I realized I left the trolling motor down on the bow. I stopped, pulled it up and saw that I lost my prop. I guess now I have an excuse to buy a three bladed prop LOL. we ended our day with a tasty fish fry when we got home.
