Nebraska question
#1
Long story short I flew to Alabama to buy a car and drive it back to Utah. The long part of the story was Nebraska. I never want to drive that state East to West or back again, this is the third time I've said that and this time I mean it!!!
Anywho, this time I drove through during the day and the Platte river is on one side of I-80 and there are many, many ponds on the other side of I-80 each with their own little boat ramp. I could use the Google but I'm looking for some real insight if anybody knows about these little 'river system' ponds. They look very...well, how do I say this...I could see me, my kickboat, a bottle of Sailor Jerry and a week off work exploring these ponds.

Edit: The last Nebraska board post was a while ago and I will look there but I'm looking right now for right away answers to my racing brain questions

I got your answer:

Some of the ponds are state parks. Some are owned by the highway dept and some are private. Google I-80 sandpits

Hope this helps.
