McClatchy Tournament West Magic 6/13

Come attend the 5th annual John "Big Fish" McClatchy Fishing Tournament @ West Magic Saturday June 13

Registration at the Dam Fools Clubhouse West Magic 6:30-7:15 am $30 entry fee per person includes barbeque afterwards. Weigh in is at 12:00 pm noon with barbeque and awards to follow.

Prize money paid out for Biggest Fish & 2nd & 3rd place finishes with donation to Camp Rainbow Gold.

June 13 is a "FREE FISHING DAY" in the state of Idaho so NO fishing license is needed!!

Well the 5th Annual McClatchy Tournament held at West Magic was once again a great success with 62 anglers competing for "Big Fish" honors.


1st Place Winner Frank Allway 3.95 $650


2nd Place Dee Ivie 2.79 $450



3rd Place Michael Inman 2.74 $250

I wanted to make it out but had kids in two separate basketball tournaments and couldn't make it. How was the fishing? I have only made it to Magic once this year and got blown off.

Fishing in general was pretty good. I think most anglers caught fish with most of them in the 1.5# range.

Biggest fish in my boat was 2.2# but we probably lost the winning fish that would have gone well over 4# [frown] Oh well that's fishing. Maybe next year!

And yes the wind did come up by noon [fishin]

Walleye are hot at Willard Mike and plenty of water in N. Marina to launch a boat. [fishin]
