We'll probably do most of our fishing in Goose Bay. We've rented a cabin there. It is sheltered (as much as you can get on Henry's anyway). In the past, the fishing has proven to be about the same there as anywhere else.

Wife and I will probably show up a day earlier and stay in a Motel for 1 night. It's a long drive for us, so we like to make the most of it.

That is where I was yesterday , fishing off the bank . 4 of the 10 fish I caught were brookies . I lost 1 about 7 pounds at the bank .the one I lost was a hybrid . They are very close to the bank in shallow water .

That is where I find them in GB under the ice too. Near the shore right on the weed line, or even in it.

It is picking up. I landed 9 in about three hours on Sat. morning on Halloween Leeches. I was still into them but the boats started circling me and I decided that I had a good morning why fight the crowd. Picked up and went home happy. All fish were between 18-21."

Glad its picking up, Have you ever tried those leaches in that color jigging through the ice ? Did pretty good last year on black and white and green and orange

No I've never tried jigging the Halloween although it might be a good idea. For whatever reason I fish white 80% of the time through the ice at Henrys.
