I got a call from the guys running the tournament and they confirmed what johnnycakes had previously posted about the trout in the tournament...

"Per the Utah Department of Wildlife. Although we encourage catch and release at our tournaments, they have a mandatory kill policy of trout when caught and weighed at a tournament. To avoid a large number of trout killed, they are enforcing only one trout weighed per angler and all other trout must be immediately returned to the water. Thank you for inquiring!"

Where are the holes going to be drilled, is it the Wallsburg bay arm.

The course of pre-drilled holes will be in the main bay in front of the parking area. Holes will be drilled 27' apart to give plenty of room between anglers/flashers/graphs. Register at link below online for $40 through Friday or at the door for $50 day of event (Feb 13). The event is moving forward as planned and it is gonna be a great time. So how'd it turn out? I tried to convince my wife this morning that I was feeling well enough but I guess losing your voice and puking will betray you!

What was the winning fish? How many people showed up?

It went smoothly. Tightlines is an A+ 5* outfit. Great guys Nate, Will and the rest of the crew. Tons of prizes, hot cocoa and coffee, even chance for all, and if you caught a fish-weighed it, you won a nice prize!

How'd you and your daughter do? Was the fishing any good?

Fishing was slow only 16 fish weighted. I believe they said 148 partisapents. It was a good tournament, funnest one I have ever attended and I didn't even catch a fish.
I think the winning fish was 2.7 lbs
