Pike at Yuba?

I want to fishing for pike at Yuba but it would be my first attempt to catch pike. I understand that pike are aggressive fish so my assumption would be bait that looks like smaller fish common to Yuba. I don't have a boat but I do have waiters, would it be best to take them or could I still catch them fishing from the shore?

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

You can catch them from shore they go shallow as the water warms up. I use anchovies they never fail me.
