strawberry smallmouth bass

Has anyone caught or heard of anyone catching any smallmouth at the berry lately? I am just curious to know if it was just a couple that were planted illegally or if there are a bunch in there.

if I remember right Ocean, I believe I read a fishing report on here a summer or 2 ago where somebody had caught a smallie. I will try to dig it up to confirm.

not that I have seen posted here. I heard of one or two being caught in the location over the summer.

According to Tom Pettengill at the DWR, smallmouth have been illegally stocked (obviously) but are plentiful enough that they are going to self-sustain. I've written a piece on recent illegal stockings in Utah. Should appear soon in the Standard-Examiner's XPLORE section.
