Spent the morning up at lost creek this morning. Just about everyone I saw up there had a fish on their line at one point or another. I landed 9 rainbow and one crawdad in about 3 and a half hours. Powerbait seemed to be the most effective. Remember if you head up there that there is a slot limit. Can't keep anything between 15"-22". The last picture is a trout who has run into some bad luck in his day......

Thanks for posting your report and pics, sounds like you had a good day there. I thought the slot limit was just on the Cutts and the bows were ok to keep[:/]? Wow, that last bow looks like it was hit by a boat prop[crazy], amazing it was still swimming.

Took the boat up there Thursday and did well trolling. Actually caught a crawfish while trolling. I'm going to build a couple of traps tomorrow and take a pack of hotdogs up next week. It's time to stock the freezer with some mud bugs for this winter's ice fishing. Hopefully, we'll have enough ice to fish.

Thanks Bob, for some reason I thought the regs were the same as the Berry.

We hit it yesterday, with the same results, minus the crawdad. Lots of bows, few cutts. We even stopped and jigged for a while before we went home to catch some bait for future trips. Still lots of chubs in there.

How is the road up the hill on the other side of the dam? Last time I took Tin-Can up there, that road shook loose one of my trailer bunk brackets. And I was creeping from rut to rut

IMO, that gravel road on the other side of the dam, going or coming up that hill is far better than that so called paved road coming up to the dam. They paved a little more than last year and it lures you into thinking you can go a regular speed, then all of a sudden that new pavement ends and you fall into the hell that has been that road for many year[mad]. Luckily, its only for the last few miles. The gravel road you are talking about is wash boarded but I've seen it a lot worse.

Have not been up there in 2 years, maybe the ruts have smoothed out some.

I would imagine you would be alright. While we were there, we saw a guy launching a fancy wake-boarding boat that was easily over 18'. I drive a small 2 door coupe and had no problems navigating the bumps and potholes

As Jon said, as long as you go slow, you won't have any problem, just don't think the bad road is just talk, then find out how bad it is all of a sudden. Lost creek is a beautiful lake and does not have a lot of traffic on most days because its a wake less lake.

Wake less sounds great to me. You cant catch fish going 30 mph

That's why I like Lost Creek. Even when I don't catch anything, it's cooler and quieter there than at Willard on the Labor Day weekend. Thinking about making the trip up there this Saturday. That is if the rain we just had here in Layton and Clearfield didn't turn that road to a washed out muddy rut.
