I hate buying motors.
You will find one guy with a 1986 beat to hell motor and he wants $800.00 for it. Then you will find another guy who has a 1998 used only two seasons and he wants only $600.00 for it.
Its an outright joke trying to buy kicker motors.
My advice, look new. I know you may not want a new one, or cant afford one, but look new first.
Why? to get a real good idea of how much various engines are worth. If you run into a guy who wants $800.00 bucks for his 1990 10 hp engine, but you know where you can get a new one for $1,200.00 you are going to save yourself from getting ripped off.
Plus someone needs to educate that guy about his engine price.
