I've only made it out once so far this year, (last week) but my son and I nailed 18 of them in 4 hours of fishing.....9pm-1am. Sucker meat was the bait of choice and water with SOME current but not too heavy was the best place. Water in the 1-4' depth range was tops. We anchored in the current at the edge of the channel and cast to the shallows where the current wasn't too strong. Kept a few for eating and turned the majority back. Nothing over 25", Smallest was 18".
No mosquitos, no mud cats, and loads of fun!
