reserved for the few
#28
Water shed or wetlands were the terms I was looking for, Patches.[blush] Dumbass me couldn't remember.

I was just reading in this mornings paper that there is legislation afoot that would return home rule to most cities and counties, giving them unrestricted use of "imminent domain". But our state Supreme Court, thankfully, has been ruling in the favor of landowners suing over the Draconian use of this law because the circumstances doesn't fit the definition of public use. However, then the cities and counties then revert to RS-2477 to gain the acreage wanted (notice I said wanted, not needed). RS-2477 is a little know law that allowed local government, and state and federal, to declare a certain piece of land, or a lot of land, pre-used and therefore has right of public access. Once the land is so declared, then the governments steps in and grab it for public use, at little or no cost (no cost preferred). It is a vicious cycle that is very difficult to break because precident has then been established.[mad]. Right now, I'm at a quandra as to how to preceed or if I should.
