Well well where to start lol. I took off work today to go see my daughter's Christmas play today and decided to slip out this afternoon for some fishing. Now let me preface this report by saying I have been battling severe anxiety for the past year now and when it gets fired up it can be overwhelming. The early part of my day had been a little stressful in some ways so I was not in the right mindset. Should have called it off then. Having not fished in 3 weeks, I pressed on anyways.. put in at Harrison Bay at 1:30. Headed to my first spot and fished main lake points with lipless and a shakey head and jig occasionally. I moved back to a spot where I had lost a side cover to a reel a few months ago thats now out of water. I beached the boat and scoured the spot with no luck. I walked back to the boat and realized I hadn't planned on the muddy shoes ??. So off they came so the carpet didnt get muddy. While I was taking them off I accidently sat on the trolling motor trigger, the prop will hit the bow on my boat and sound like a 50 cal machine gun ??. I decided to move again and forgot my new h20 xpress jacket was sitting in my seat. I didn't realize it had flown out until I decided to move again and I was like holy crap where is my jacket. Hurried back and found it floating in the lake thankfully. I tried easing by someone else fishing and wasnt paying attention and realized I was in about 12" of water and about crapped my pants again. At this point I decided safe bet was to go back to Harrison Bay and fish for a few minutes and leave. Low and behold it started to rain and I was down my rain jacket since it decided to take a dip in the lake. I said to heck with this mess and headed to get the truck at 4:30. It started coming down pretty good and I hurried the trailer in the water and got back to the boat. Fired it up and went to load it on the trailer and found out it doesn't load to well with the trolling motor down ??. Praise the lord I didn't break anything or hurt myself or anyone today. Man what an idiot! Never in my life was I so glad to get back home without a single bite no less. Water temp was 51 and cloudy skies. Fished shakey head, jigs lipless and a rig briefly. May you all have better luck than me today!
