I don't have a boat so I didn't comment on this, but the vexilar web site claims you can see fish on their flashers going 40 mph. No experience, so I don't know for sure. You will need a different transducer to mount to your boat. After that its the same pros and cons between flasher verses LCD, high power verses lower...
