The last few days have been some "fantastic" fishing on Guntersville and Weiss Lakes. I had the opportunity on Friday to take out Barry Descaro of Choo Choo Lures for an evening trip and carried it through the night on Big G and we had a great time catching some nice numbers of quality fish on Choo Choo Rocker jigs and then some solid Choo Choo spinnerbait action after dark. I then had a trip with a gentleman on Sunday that proved to be very productive with some quality fish on Producer Swimbaits and Choo Choo Rocker jigs around deep grass areas. That was also one of those days that we wished we could have at least seen a couple that had came off after some serious "tugging"! Today on Weiss Lake I got to take out the same gentleman from Sunday and the action started quickly with some "DANG" serious Bull Wake action with some "DANG" good Spotted Bass! These fish can cause some serious "explosions" when they encounter a Bull Wake coming by them! The really fun part of this was not only being able to catch some of these extremely hard fighting fish but also to experience the explosions from the ones we missed!!! This created some extremely excited looks on both of our faces. When the early morning "frenzy" slowed down we went out to some deeper ledges and was able to pick the action back up with some solid numbers of fish on Choo Choo Football jigs and shaky head worms. A great few days of fishing with several productive patterns on a couple of great North Alabama Lakes. Have some fun! Mike Carter
