After seeing the pitiful results from the FLW I almost did not go this morning. But this morning was different. Storms were moving thru with rain cells mixed in and the weather had cooled a few degrees. It is hard not to go when all you have to do is drop the boat into the water. emoBigSmile Tried a spinner bait and a couple different cranks without so much as a smell. Switched over to a shakey and that was the ticket. They were not jumping into the boat but it was consistent. Working structure, drops and ledges from 10 to 22 foot I found a pretty good bite. The bass were not moving around much and most seemed locked on whatever they were holding on but get the shakey near to them and they would bite it. Had several just grab the tail and on three occasions set the hook only to come in with my worm gone. emoDoh Fished from 7 this morning to 2 this afternoon. Put 16 bass in the boat with the best five going 15 to 16 lbs. emoThumbsup For around here I will take that.

With school starting back the lake was almost empty. Saw three other bass boats out this morning but when the rain started I only saw one of those again. Seemed to have the lake mostly to myself. emoRain I did take a couple pictures, as usual they don't do the bass justice and this ain't the Chick. emoBooHoo Jmax
