I took my wife and daughter fishing for Labor Day, we launched my boat around 9:00 am. Five minutes after putting the lines on the down riggers we had our first fish, my daughter picked it up and it turned out to be the largest of the day, a 24” cutthroat on pop gear. That was our last cuttthroat of the day we caught 25 10-14” rainbows after that and three Kokanee. We used pop gear on one side and sling blade with spoon on the other side, and we long lined a Little Cleo with a couple split shots out the back. We caught fish on all of them I ran the down riggers between 15 and 30 ft. Deep. My Great Dane helped himself to some sushi when one of the Kokanee came off the hook in the boat and he picked it up and sucked it down whole before we could stop him. The lake is pretty low but the ramp is still in the water the deepest spot I metered was 40 ft. most of the lake is 25-35 ft. Deep. It was our first time there, what a beautiful lake, it’s nice going to a lake with trees in Utah.
