[#0000FF]While the water temps are staying above 50 there will still be some cats within casting distance from the end of the rock shelves. I got two on bait yesterday within casting distance of shore...and my last cat, which was caught on plastic, was fairly close to the rocks. It drops off into 5 feet of water fairly quickly.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]As the water continues to cool, white bass and other species start moving up into the warmer area in the pond formed by first spring. Last year there were whities, cats, crappies, bluegills, perch, largemouth, walleyes and even pike caught there before iceup.
