Yes, only glass. It is admittedly an acquired taste and maybe my favorite because it is my newest 
Plenty fast enough to throw a nice tight loop 30-40 feet, which is more than enough for the small stream I fish. Not great if I wanted to throw a couple beadhead nymphs...
