Here is a picture of my best catch off of Oceanside Pier in 2017. I was fly lining a live mackerel and it found some kelp to tangle up in. It is quite the process pulling up the kelp up to the pier to get all of my gear back. As we were sifting through all of the kelp I found another fishing pole tangled up in the whole mess. I have since cleaned up the rod and reel and this is now my heavy duty trolling rod. Just this past year I was able to catch a Lake trout at Fish Lake with this great Rod and Reel. I even have the original braid line. Works great!
