Just try getting a multi-treble Mirrolure out of a pelican's thin throat pouch sometime...Can't cut the line or the pelican will die. The only way (after the bird has beat you nearly to death with its wings) is to get a towel over its head/eyes to calm it down, then have somebody hold the beak open while you get in there with pliers. It takes three people, actually.
