[#0000FF]Back in the days of silk fly lines and linen lines for heavy salt water fishing it was necessary to clean and dry your lines periodically...if you wanted to keep fishing with them.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]Most of our modern lines do not have problems with rotting or degrading...other than damage from UV rays, dirt and oils, etc. So, while drying is not as necessary it is a good idea to help preserve your expensive stuff as long as possible. Can't hurt.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]Here is a pic of a rotating spool line dryer that will help empty a reel spool faster and allow plenty of air to circulate around the drying line.[/#0000FF]
