How Long is Line's good for?

Palomar is much easier to tie and less chance of it slipping in my experience, but I've never used that many turns so it's not direct experience, but I have had 6-8 turns on the cinch knots slip on me, that's why I left my old favorite knot for the Palomar... Only weakness with the Palomar, is small eye holes on tiny flies that won't allow a double pass of line through the eye... J
