I tried out two of the LJ9000 reels. For being 1/4 the price of the Fin-Nor reels, they need more testing before I recommend them. One worked great, plenty of power, great line capacity, and the drag was smooth. The second one started out good then acquired a roughness in the gears. It was put away and replaced with a backup reel. Today I opened up the reel and found some small brass machine filings. A good cleaning and lube job and it is ready for test #2.. Note: These do not equal the Fin-Nor's ultra smooth drag, but if they prove themselves durable, then they will be a great buy.
