Thank you for the heads up. I'm not doubting you're correct, but can you please show where the state park rules restrict bow fishing? I know discharging a weapon at a boat ramp in prohibited, but for the life of me I can't find anything saying you can't bow fish period. Isn't Utah Lake a state park? There are numerous bow fishing tournaments held there each year.
I've been to the South Marina half a dozen times in the last couple weeks, and each time there has been numerous guys out walking around the marina bow fishing. This past Thursday there were two kayak'ers, as well as a motored boat, bow fishing for several hours inside the South Marina, and park staff at the ramp didn't say anything.
I can't find anything in the guide book or state parks site saying it's prohibited. I've looked for an email address to write them directly, but can only see a phone line which isn't manned during the weekend.
