Took my dad, my son and my nephew fishing to Goshen bay yesterday. Water is up and a lot of my favorite spots to shore fish were unfishable from reeds and high water. Great problem to have. We found a vacant patch of shore and set up shop. The kids caught a 30 inch carp and it was a tussle getting it landed. I gave it a gillectomey and baited my pole with fresh carp. Never had a sniff of a bite. The cats liked a shrimp/worm combo. The kids caught a bunch of nice cats and Ryder even landed a 28 inch male channel. Dad got in on the fun too, with a bunch of white bass and a handful of cats. What a fine morning having my 79 year old dad and his two grand kids with lines in the water. Sorry I don't have pics. I have them on my phone but cant figure out how to get them here.
