Fun times at the Gorge.

Spent three days (Wed - Fri) at Flaming Gorge with my wife last week. My wife isn't all that into fishing. She just wanted to play in the water and the sun so I had to sneak the fishing in. I have not been to Flaming Gorge since I was a kid so I had no idea where to fish. Thanks to PatchyDog for some good pointers. Made a deal with my wife that she could play all day Thursday if we could find some fish on Wednesday and then catch some Kokes to take home on friday. Fortunately Flaming Gorge is as generous as she is beautiful. Managed to land a number of pups in about 100 ft. near the red cliffs, one of which was pretty nice - of course did not get a picture of that one unfortunately - released at the net [:/] but sure felt good setting the hook on a fish like that!!! Friday morning was spent in pursuit of Kokanee limits and we were not disappointed. Had all four rods go off at once near sheep creek, managed to land three of the four and wala half the limit in the first 5 minutes although a bit of a circus []. Wasn't long before we were done with that. Caught a nice cutthroat and a lot of rainbows all released, did not even know there were cuts in the Gorge. Kokes were in 40ish fow. Pink was working best.
