Starvation will never produce consistent sizes/amounts of perch and walleye until water levels remain constant. That will never happen.
I used to fish it a couple times a month, up until two years ago when I finally let my tiny little brain accept it was over
A few years ago I took Pat up there and we knocked the eyes and jumbo perch senseless, all in a single spot and never moved. Caught a few very healthy bows to boot.
I was hoping the introduction of kokes would motivate me to keep hitting Starvy but it seems even they tanked?
Fish it in a boom cycle, find other places to fish in a bust cycle.
I sure miss going to that beautiful lake....
