That is a good question and hard to answer since it's so weather dependent... Most years you start to see the crazies hit the high elevation lakes in late October to early November... Last year the second week of November got us on some higher stuff up above Logan... Usually the main lower lakes don't start fishing until around Christmas.. But every year is different all depends on how cold it gets... Watch for consistent temperatures below 17 to get stuff freezing enough to build ice... We'll have to see when Ron is ready to kick off the contest, we try Nov. 15th in the past... Later Jeff
