There was some water pooling on the ice by the afternoon on Saturday, but it was mostly near south facing shorelines. Depending on where we were on the ice sheet, thickness ranged from 14-20 inches. The ground was soft near the shorelines in the afternoons, so be careful where you park. It could easily be frozen ground in the morning and a mess after it warms up. There was some muddy spots on the roads as well, but nothing 4WD couldn't handle. It's been cold the last day and a half, likely firming the ice surface up again.
Good luck! Ryno
Hey Ryan, thanks for the report. I saw you and Adam on his show last week, were you guys really fishing at Sheep creek? From what he was saying the ice wasn't that thick there 5", how do you think it is holding up now?
