When the closures were announced, this poor guy ran around trying to get the closures stopped as he and others felt the restrictions were unreasonable. Sound familiar?! Even if he were poaching, I'll bet he felt justified in doing it as he knew the fishery well. Good or bad, many poachers feel this way.
He also had spreader bars in his boat to keep the trap floats below the water to avoid detection. He had it rigged big time to avoid detection. Do you go to all that trouble if you don't think you're doing something that is going to get you in trouble? Duh!!
Unfortunately he is now a rebel without claws (lobster's that is....).
