EC sits in my backyard and I too rarely fish it. As for a trout fishery its okay and plenty of hatcheryand holdover bows put s on tanglers faces, but I get my trout fix, when the urge occurs, at the Gorge or the Berry or Uintas or such.
But I have hope for its future. They are planting kokes again, which will restore an old friend from its past and help to spread koke fishers out to other waters. And adding wipers throws a new twist to the game if they can keep a base level of them in it.
I do wish, at least one of the perch, crappie, or smallmouth game was a bit better. There is an abundant crayfish population that should support them. There are some big smallies still but I would agree the numbers seem down.
Of course it can't help the DWRs plans when they have to also fight extreme drawdown in dry cycles.

Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew
