Drove around Mantua on the way home from Bear Lake this afternoon. A large part of the lake has a thin layer of ice...with only maybe10% along the west side still open water. If the breezes don't rip off what is there it shouldn't be too long before it is fishable. Mantua always caps before Willard...usually about the second week of December.
